This blog is intended for all those other "Langzeit Ausländer" like me, who find themselves here in Germany and still can't seem to get a grip on what's going on around them. Life here is sometimes fascinating, eerie, unnerving and unbelievably funny. NOTE: if you are a new reader, please read this blog from the bottom up. I just want to make several things clear here - I love living in Germany. I have a wonderful German husband. My best friends are German. If I were in China, I might also get sarcastic about the country. Although possibly not, there I would probably end up in a prison camoflouged as an insane asylum and get flogged every day. OK then, if I were in America I might get sarcastic about the american way of life. But then again, also probably not, George Bush might send me to one of his prison camps and accidentally electrocute me to death. No, no - I think I'll stay here awhile, it's really quite pleasant after you get used to all the little quirks. By the way, if you need a great copywriter or wonderful moving imagery (image films, commercials, TV-Openers, etc.) just send me a comment! I need work that pays...

Haha, unbelievably true and funny. Glad I found out about your blog :)
This was exactly what I needed to read right now. Struggling to find a way through Germany while my boyfriend finishes in the University and every day is a new and awful adventure (not really so awful either, I'm exaggerating.) Anyways, thanks.
